HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER

Placing an order is fast and easy. Simply order online or contact us directly and a member of ur support team can facilitate your order. A step-by-step guide can also be found here

PRINTING FILES

What file formats do you accept?

Please ensure all submitted files meet the following criteria

    • High resolution PDF (300 DPI)
    • CMYK Colour for best results
    • Most products require a 1/8” bleed on all sides & text within safety margins. Refer to the File Guide for your product. 
    • Correct file orientation
    • Submitted as a single pdf (i.e. double sided postcard is 1 pdf file with 2 pages)
    • Less than 150 MB in size
    • Black type should have the following values: C0, M0, Y0, K100.

Do you have templates or guidelines?

File Orientation

File Orientation refers to the orientation of the artwork files submitted. Ensure that they are submitted to back up properly to produce the intended result. The below shows the correct orientation for double-sided orders. 

ORDERS

Can I split my orders?

Each order can only include one design but you are able to add multiple orders to your cart. For example if you order 1000 business cards they will all be printed using the same file (i.e. Jane Doe, Muffin Shop). If you would like 500 cards for “Jane Doe” and another 500 for “Sally Doe” you will need to submit 2 order of 500 business cards each.

 

How many files can I submit?

Each order is associated to 1 file. For example, if you order 1000 2-sided flyers you will need to combine both front and back pages into one PDF file with 2 pages instead of submitting 2 separate PDF files labeled front and back.

 

Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?

Absolutely! Please contact us for a quote.

 

SHIPPING

Do you offer free shipping?

From time to time we may offer free shipping specials on our website or on larger orders. Please contact us at help@paperpress.ca to find out more.

 

What are my shipping options?

Paperpress ships with UPS and offers UPS Standard shipping on our website. You can also request expedited UPS Express shipping and quotes by contacting us at help@paperpress.ca

 

Which locations do you ship to?

Currently Paperpress ships orders to all Canadian provinces - British Columbia,  Alberta, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. 

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping time (ground) in Toronto GTA is usually ships 1 business day after printing. The rest of Canada can take 3-5 business days. Please see estimated shipping times are below. If you would like UPS Express Shipping or have a RUSH order please contact us directly.

* Shipping estimates do not include print production turnaround time that will vary by product. 

Is turnaround time included in shipping time?

Turnaround time refers to the production turnaround, or the time it takes to do the printing, cutting and finishing of your order. Turnaround time starts after we have received your order and the file is ready to print. The turnaround time does not include shipping time.

 

PAYMENTS

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal. All payments are processed through an online secure checkout page.

 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Do you offer refunds?

Since we can’t resell your prints, all sales are final and non-refundable.

 

What if something is wrong with my order?

If we can verify that an error was made on our end we will re-print the order. You must first alert Paperpress within 2 business days of order acceptance and you will need to return 100% of the received product within 10 days from the time the ordered product delivery was taken at your own expense.

 

PRINT MATERIAL & FINISHES

What does 14pt, 16pt or 10pt  mean?

Points (pt) refers to the thickness or the card stock. Our business cards start at 14pt - a thicker than average card stock. Most business cards are typically printed on 12pt. You also have the option of an even sturdier card stock of 16pt. Our postcards are also printed on 14pt card stock but you have the option to select 10pt for a slightly less studier but more cost efficient option. 

  • 14pt - similar to the thickness of a vacation postcard
  • 10pt - similar to the cover of a premium paperback book

What is 100lb glossy text?

100lb is the thickness of the paper stock used for our flyers and brochures. 100lb glossy text stock is a high quality stock with a similar look and feel of premium magazine paper. 

Finishes

The "finish"refers to the coat applied to print products for protection or to add a visual effect (i.e. makes colours look more vibrant). 

  • AQ (Aqueous Coating) = Semi-gloss look similar to that of a magazine cover or promotional postcards
  • UV (Ultraviolet) = Shiny/glossy reflective sheen similar to a glossy photograph
  • Matte/Satin= Slight low gloss sheen. Almost smooth in appearance. 
  • Matte/Silk Laminate = A luxurious soapy/silky smooth finish. Apple uses a similar finish on their laptop/iPhone boxes.

What is Linen Card Stock?

Linen is a textured paper that emulates the look of linen cloth. It is a great choice for invitations and announcements.
